Busy but terrific Tuesday in Malta

Tuesday was mom and dad's last full day in Malta so we did it all! :)  We visited the Hypogeum, Blue Grotto, Hagar Qim, and Vittoriosa.  It was a wonderful last day with them full of fun memories!

First we visited the Hypogeum.  No pictures are allowed inside so this all I can show but it was ruins of a city built 5,000 years ago.  It was pretty cool!

Then we headed to the Blue Grotto which is a cave area in the blue waters.  The views were just breath taking.  We stopped before we got down there to get pictures from above.

This is the Malta cross on the sidewalk.

(Grandma, Dad is wearing Grandpa's Meredith hat so Grandpa was with us too! :)

See the blue waters... just beautiful!

On the way down, mom posed with the recipe to Rabbit Stew

Off we go!

Then we stopped at this restaurant that took forever and we ate way too much food!!

Mom eating RABBIT!! (Yes, she ate meat!)

Love this selfie of me and my best friend

Then we headed to see ruins of Hagar Qim
We were not too impressed because we weren't able to walk around and through it much.  It also had a tent on top... ruins in Tunisia are much cooler!!

Our final stop for the night was Vittoriosa because it is known for its narrow gorgeous streets.  We walked around the bay area first... which was not our intention but it was beautiful!

We stumbled upon two lighthouses!

These are the boats they race with the neighboring town each September

Cool clock tower (love the blue doors)

Finally made it to the small narrow streets... how pretty!

We found this bar (I was craving anything chocolate and they had chocolate milkshake that was really chocolate milk whipped up).  We met this couple who are visiting from Ireland.  They were so kind and friendly (just like all Irish people).

Mom and I saw this on our way out of town... can't say it better myself!
