Today Aunt Jeanne and I were tourists in Tunis! I didn't know so many people spoke English in Tunis! ;) We started off our day in Carthage to see the ruins there and then we went to Sidi Bou Said for lunch. Both were fun places to see with great company!
Museum of Carthage
Punic (Phonecian) Ruins
The Mediterran Sea is behind the trees.. it was very smoggy this morning.
They had a lot of headless statues so we filled in.
Olive Tree
The tomb of someone important
Look at that huge head statue!
Walking down to the Roman Baths
Now on to the Roman Ruins
The Roman Theater (still used today)
A mosque that Aunt Jeanne got a picture of as we were driving to Sidi Bou Said
Now in Sidi Bou Said... the best doors in Tunis!
Stopped for lunch to have sausage couscous and a typical Tunisian salad (tuna and spicy)
The gorgeous view of the Mediterranean Sea
More gorgeous doors
This door decided to stand out by being green instead of blue. I like it!
While it was a very warm day, it was a lot of fun touring with Aunt Jeanne! Thanks for letting me use your pictures, Aunt Jeanne! (My camera battery died this morning and my back-up was also dead...)
